Dr. Packin has been in private practice treating patients with problems of fertility and associated hormone abnormalities for 29 years. He merged his practice with the South Jersey Fertility Center in early 2003. He is currently Head of the Subsection of Reproductive Endocrinology at the Kennedy Health System in Stratford, Cherry Hill, and Turnersville New Jersey and is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Packin has served as President of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologist. He is the past Chairman of the Residency Evaluation Committee of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and currently a consultant to The American Osteopathic Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a founding member of the Medical Education Foundation of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is Chairman of the ad hoc Committee for Hormone Therapy of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is an appointed member of the Committee on Hormonal Therapy of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Packin has been honored by the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists having conferred upon him their most prestigious "Distinguished Service Award" in 1993 for his contribution to medical education and dedication to the advancement of women’s healthcare. He was elected as a "Distinguished Fellow" in this organization in 1991. He received a Commendation for Meritorious Service by The Board of Trustees of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists in 2004. He was honored by Kennedy Memorial Hospital in 1995 presenting him with the "Physician’s Excellence Award." In 2005, Dr. Packin was awarded "Top Doc" in South Jersey Magzine. Dr. Packin has lectured extensively throughout the world and has published several articles on the treatment of fertility and women’s healthcare in major medical journals. He is a consultant and serves as a member of the Speaker’s Bureau of several major pharmaceutical companies including Wyeth, Berlex, Pfizer, Ortho-McNeil, and Nova Nordisk. He has conducted clinical research for several of these companies and participated in extensive research in South America to help promote the development and implementation of hormonal treatment of women.
