Schedule of Tests

1. FSH blood test and other hormone levels (cycle days 2-4):

You should count the first day of full flow as “day 1.” Pre-menstrual spotting does not count. You can come to our office in Marlton, Egg Harbor or Sewell for your blood test between 8:00-12:00 noon Monday-Friday or 8:30-10 am on Saturday in Marlton. If you cannot make it to our office, we will need to give you a laboratory requisition slip to bring to a local Quest or Labcorp phlebotomy center. You do not need an appointment. They will draw your blood and send us the results.

2. Baseline Ultrasound (cycle days 3-8):

Please call our office on day 1 of your cycle to schedule a vaginal ultrasound during the first week of your cycle. If your period begins on the weekend, please call on Monday. If your periods are regular you can schedule this test ahead of time, estimating when your first week will be.

3. Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) or Surgery (cycle days 5-13):

Please call our office on day 1 of your cycle to schedule an HSG or surgery during the second week of your cycle. If your period begins on the weekend, please call on Monday. You should ask for Chantina at extension 1242. If your periods are regular you can schedule this test ahead of time, estimating when the second week of your cycle will be.

4. Ovulation Predictor Kits (cycle days 10-15+):

These kits can be purchased at any pharmacy. A fertility monitor is also available. Most kits have 5-8 test strips. You should test the second urine of the day starting on day 10 if you have regular cycles. If your cycles are irregular, ask your doctor or nurse if and when you should test.

5. Progesterone blood test (cycle days 19-23):

You can come to our office in Marlton, Egg Harbor or Sewell for your blood test between 8:00-12:00 noon, Monday-Friday or 8:30-10 am on Saturday in Marlton.
