Kieran Cunningham,  ELD,TS (ABB)

Kieran Cunningham joined South Jersey Fertility Center in 1995 as Laboratory Manager of the Embryology, Endocrine and Andrology laboratories, after years of experience as the IVF Laboratory Supervisor at a center in Delaware.  There he was a part of some groundbreaking work with immature oocyte retrievals and culture.  Kieran has had many years of experience performing IVF, sperm and embryo cryopreservation, ICSI, assisted hatching with fragment removal, blastocyst culture and cryopreservation and many embryo culture techniques. His work overseas resulted in the birth of the first GIFT baby in Syria. He has worked closely with local Urologists specializing in male fertility in the collection of sperm from testicular tissue and epididymal fluid.  Recently he implemented embryo biopsy and cell fixation for Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) of embryos at South Jersey Fertility Center.  He was instrumental in setting up the new state-of-the-art Embryology and Andrology laboratories.

         University of Delaware – BS in Medical Technology, Minor in Biology – 1991

         Successful completion of graduate courses in embryology – 1995-1996

         Completed many post graduate seminars and courses in embryology, cryopreservation and PGD.
